It has gained popularity among streamers because of its excellent sound quality and versatility. The fact that it is USB capable unlocks so much potential for instance being able to record use it as XLR microphone and also plug it into a phone via USB and voice over some on the go content or record a podcast on the fly. This mic is unreal for the price and I will eventually buy one myself. The Shure MV7 is a USB/XLR dynamic microphone that has become a popular choice for podcasters.
